How to Sign-in to Esri GIS Resources

All UHCL students, staff, and faculty have unlimited access to numerous Esri products. These resources include ArcGIS Online, the Esri Training Academy, StoryMaps, Survey 123, ArcGIS Living Atlas of the World and many more. To access Esri resources, please follow the instructions below.

u On any Esri ArcGIS-related website, click Sign In.

v Select Sign In with “Your ArcGIS organization’s URL,” click UHCL, and complete the URL with “UHCL.”

w Click Continue and use your UHCL credentials to Sign In.

x To access all available Esri products (apps), sign in to the UHCL ArcGIS Online homepage and click the square of nine dots next to your profile picture (top right of window).

Access GIS Software

There are many GIS software options. You can begin with either ArcGIS (the proprietary industry standard) or free and open-source software (QGIS is a popular choice). Each package has its merits and drawbacks. Most GIS data formats are cross platform and will work in any package.

UHCL students, staff, and faculty have access to the ESRI ArcGIS software suite for academic and non-commercial purposes.
