2010s History Timeline

2010

  • August 2010
    • UHCL at Pearland Campus Library opened

2012-2013

  • UHCL Archives and Special Collections expanded to include new staff offices, a new reading room, and a new 1,600 sq. ft. collections storage room. Archives now included over 3,500 sq. ft. of space for staff, researchers, and collections.

2015-2016

  • Neumann Library launched its first digital repository for digitized publications through the Texas Digital Library’s DSpace repository software.
  • Fall 2015
    • Neumann Library partnered with the UHCL School of Education to pilot a new Electronic Theses and Dissertations (ETD) program.
      • They implemented a new system for the electronic submission of dissertations from doctoral students in the School of Education’s Educational Leadership.

2019   

  • July 2019
    • Neumann Library launched its new library catalog system, Alma-Primo, on July 23, 2019.
  • August 2019
    • Dr. Vivienne McClendon became the new Executive Library Director.
