Following Karen Wielhorski’s retirement, Chloris Yue was named to the position of Interim Director of UHCL Neumann Library, serving from 2018 to August 2019. Following the hiring of the new Executive Director in August 2019, Yue was named to a new position of Director of Library Communication and Operations, a position that served as second in charge of the Library.

She first began working at Neumann Library as a reference librarian in November 1989. Yue held various positions with the Library from the 1990s through 2010s, including as Reference and Instruction Librarian and later Coordinator of Library Research Services. On April 16, 2015, she was named Associate Director of Library Public Services, which oversaw Research Services, Library Instructional Services, Circulation Services, Collection Development, the Interlibrary Loan department, and the Pearland Campus Library. Yue retired from UHCL Libraries in March 2023.
Chloris Yue received her BA degree from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, and her MLS degree from the University of North Texas.
