UHCL Archives opened as a fully operational university archives. Chancellor Alfred R. Neumann’s records were the first archival collection arranged and described for the public.
1992
Dr. Michael M. Lee left Neumann Library in 1992.
Patricia J. Garrett, Associate Dean of Public Services, assumed the position of Interim Director of Neumann Library in 1992 after Dr. Lee’s departure.
1994
In August 1994, Dr. S. Joe McCord accepted the role of Executive Director of UHCL Neumann Library and started the position shortly after.
1995
Spring 1995
UHCL Neumann Library upgraded its computer hardware to enable access to the Internet in the library for the first time.
After adding Internet, Neumann Library joined the TexShare program in 1995, a statewide resource-sharing consortium of hundreds of member libraries in Texas administered by the Texas State Library and Archives Commission.
