Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, the library has temporarily suspended the fulfilling of requests for physical items.  Any submitted requests for print books or other physical material will remain in your ILLiad account and will be fulfilled when we return to normal operations.  Requests for article/copies will continue to be filled.  We may be able to obtain one chapter per loan title depending on availability from other libraries.

Receiving Your Requested items

When your requested item is ready for pick up, you will be notified by email. * Please be aware that we are required to send all UHCL notifications and communications to your UHCL email account. Don't forget to configure your email to allow receipt of emails from these domains: ILL@uhcl.edu, library@uhcl.edu. You can arrange to have e-mail automatically forwarded from your UHCL-provided e-mail account to another e-mail address such as their Yahoo!®, Gmail™,etc. Here is the Instructions: Webmail created by the University Computing Center.

Receiving Items on Loan to You

  • Books, DVD, and other physical materials will be available to pick up at the Neumann Library Circulation Desk. Be sure to bring your UHCL ID to check out the items at the Library Circulation Desk.  You are responsible for the condition of borrowed items during your checkout period.
  • If your pick up location is UHCL Pearland Library, pick up items on loan to you at the Pearland Library Service Desk.

Viewing Electronically Received Articles

  • Most articles and book chapters will be posted as PDF files to your ILLiad account. To access them, login to your ILLiad account and click View/Download Electronically Received Articles. Please note that the PDF file is only accessible for 30 days; if you want to keep it, you must save it to your hard drive or a USB drive. Some articles cannot be digitized and must be picked up at the Neumann Library circulation desk.
  • If you accidentally delete an article from this web page, you may undo by clicking on the UNDELETE ARTICLE at the top of the page.

Returning your Requested Items

Neumann Library and Pearland Library physical facilities are currently closed until further notice.

We encourage you to not return materials to the library at this time. If you need to return items, you may place them in the book drop outside the Bayou building, located next to the entrance by the Patio Café. (click here to view).  You may also return items to the SSCB 2201 or Pearland 104 computer labs during their open hours

You may also request renewals--libraries are being liberal in extending loan periods during this time.  Renewals may be submitted through your ILLiad AccountILLiad Interlibrary Loan , Email: ILL@uhcl.edu or Phone: 281-283-3906.
