The mission of the UHCL Libraries Research & Instruction department is to foster academic and lifelong success within the UHCL community through the development of information literacy, critical thinking, and research skills.
Research Help
Librarians are available to:
- assist users with all types of information requests
- answer questions about the library's resources and how to use them
- provide support at every stage of the research process
Assistance may be requested at the Research Service Office (Bayou Building 2402, Office 4) during open hours, as well as:

Library Instruction Services for Faculty
Librarians can support faculty through classroom library instruction and the creation of online learning tools.

Instructional Services Request FormUHCL faculty at Clear Lake or Pearland may request library instruction sessions that teach students about resources and research strategies for specific subjects, disciplines, or assignments.

Library Course Guide (example)Librarians can create research guides for specific courses. Course guides are tailored to a course’s syllabus and assignments, and guide students in the use of relevant research resources. Course guides can be linked to from your Canvas course page. To request a course guide, email library@uhcl.edu.
