UHCL faculty and staff may reserve the following areas for public events and/or meetings:
- Hawk’s Nest
- The Nest may be used for public events. It can accommodate 20 people. Events in the Nest must be open to all library users. For private meetings, request the Library Meeting Room or Classroom.
- The Nest is not available during midterms or the final three weeks of the semester.
- Hawk’s Overlook
- The Overlook may be used for public events. It can accommodate 40 people. Events in the Overlook must be open to all library users. For private meetings, request the Special Collections Room or Classroom.
- The Overlook is not available during midterms or the final three weeks of the semester.
- Library Meeting Room #40 (Formerly Special Collections Room)
- The Library Meeting Room can accommodate 12 people and may be used for private meetings.
- Library Classroom
- The classroom can accommodate 36 people and may be used for public events and private meetings.
- Library staff use of the classroom is prioritized. To accommodate the regular library instruction schedule, the classroom is not available for reservations during the first eight weeks of each semester.
