Find Primary Sources in OneSearch with Subject Terms

Include subject terms such as the following in your search:

anecdotes diaries pamphlets photography   portraits    speeches 
  correspondence    interviews    personal narratives    pictorial works  sources statistics


Sample search (use quotation marks for an "exact phrase" in simple search):
   "pictorial works" texas



Advanced Search

Sample advanced searches:

Shows subject search for vietnam war and diaries or personal narratives and another subject search for african-americans and texas and photography or pictorial works

 

Searching specifically for bibliographies also may be of help.

Find Primary Sources in OneSearch with Relevant Filters


Another approach is to perform a simple search (e.g., mothers motherhood) and then select and assign potentially relevant filters such as:
