Healing a soldier's heart (2013)

Peter Davis' landmark documentary Over two million Americans served in the Vietnam War. Forty years later, tens of thousands of veterans still suffer from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). But a groundbreaking approach provides hope for these psychologically wounded former warriors, as well as for veterans of more recent wars. Healing A Soldier's Heart follows the courageous journeys of four Vietnam veterans, all suffering from severe PTSD, who return to Vietnam to face the demons that continue to haunt them and hopefully heal their PTSD.

Wartorn 1861-2010

Beginning with the first documented cases from the Civil War, the film examines occurrences of PTSD through two World Wars and Vietnam, as well as more recent cases involving soldiers who served in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Dr. Frank Ochberg shows treatment of PTSD with veterans, why it is important to learn about this medical disorder, and how PTSD affects family and other relationships. Teaches family members and community how they can assist in the recovery process.
