Off-Campus and Online Education: Research Guides & More

Library Services

Library Catalog

Access to the Library Catalog:

Neumann Library materials are included in the combined UH Library Catalog.

Students in online and off-campus courses may request books and articles using the request forms for Distance Education Students.  If you do not live in the area and cannot pick up books at one of the campuses, most books can be mailed to you. Articles will be scanned for you, following all copyright requirements.

Over 100,000 ebooks are available through the library catalog More Book and Media Resources.

Research Guides & Databases

Access to Online Databases:

To find sources on your topic, select Research Guides from the main navigation menu on the library's homepage, followed by an appropriate academic subject link.

Off-campus access to more than 180 databases, including many full-text and full-image resources, is available by selecting Databases A-Z.

  • In a few rare instances, licensing restrictions limit some databases to UHCL campus use only.
